The star exhibit at the 2024 World Manufacturing Convention—the French Company Alstom’s straddle monorail made a stunning debut. Approximately 26 meters long and weighing about 30 tons, the monorail can reach speeds of 80 km/h, with a construction period half that of subways, and cost only one-third as much. Additionally, the monorail features driverless operation.
Alstom established a joint venture in Wuhu, Anhui province in 2014, called CRRC Puzhen Alstom Transport Systems Limited. The monorails have been launched for two lines in Wuhu.
